ProgRET includes eight European academic institutions: Ghent University (BE), Radboudumc Nijmegen (NL), University of Tubingen (DE), Telethon Institute of Genetics and Medicine (IT), Institute for Neurosciences of Montpellier (FR), The Andalusian Centre of Developmental Biology (ES), Institute of Molecular Genetics (CZ) and Institute of Ophthalmology Basel (CH); three European industrial partners, including two small: Gulliver Biomed (BE) and Phenopolis (UK), and one large company Evotec SE (DE). Importantly, Retina International, a global IRD patient organisation and Fighting Blindness Ireland, a national IRD patient organisation are indispensable collaborators in ProgRET, forming a bridge to the relevant patient groups.
